Community map

Posting is optional. Your chosen name, city and introduction are visible to other visitors. Please use a nickname if you prefer, and leave out addresses, contact details, health histories and information about other people. A private browser cookie lets you update or remove your pin from the same browser for up to a year. Expiry of the cookie does not delete the pin. You can also request removal by email.

If you opt in to local pop-up news, the site stores your email and choice with your pin, separately from the public response. This does not subscribe you to Substack. To withdraw, update your pin without opting in, remove your pin, or email Emilie.

Outside services and browser storage

The map requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap when you open it. Cloudflare handles shared preview traffic. These services receive connection information such as an IP address. Instagram and Substack only load embedded content if you choose to load it. That shares connection information with the provider, which may use cookies. You can instead follow the direct link, or skip the embed. The embed choice lasts for this page view. This site uses local storage to remember that you have seen the newsletter invitation.

Substack handles newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribes. When you send an inquiry, this site passes your name, reply email and message to Airform for delivery to Emilie’s inbox. The site does not save a copy in its database. Airform and the email provider process your note. You can also email Emilie directly. Calendly handles booking details. Go Brewing and Buy Me a Coffee handle transactions on their own sites. Their privacy practices apply when you use them.

Retention and requests

Map entries are kept until updated or removed. Email correspondence may remain in the sender’s and recipient’s mailboxes. To ask about access, correction, deletion or unsubscribing, contact Emilie. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive details in a request.
